I will be doing lots of updates in the near future. New photo quizzes are coming and yes, I accept photos from everybody (just don't feel bad if I don't use them).

Gonna be a nice looking area with City Center right next to it... Too bad they aren't building radically differently looking buildings in Las Vegas like they are in Macau or Dubai. I know America is conservative but I think Vegas is the place to try some radical designs. Reply to this

I agree! It would be nice to see more unconventional designs. Though I do think that the Crystals Mall @ City Center is pretty cool looking, I can't wait to see what the Crystals Mall looks like from the inside! Reply to this

I am no insider, just somebody who goes to check out the progress of Cosmo/City Center 2-3 a month. And word from the construction workers is end of 09 opening. But what I find strange is that Cosmo is somewhere in the ballpark of 10 months away from opening and I haven't heard on the local news that hiring has started. The way the economy is any big job fairs are always announced on the local news, City Center has begun hiring of it's 12,000 employees, but I haven't heard that Cosmo has begun hiring, ...hmm.
The signs are currently being put up at the top of Cosmo's towers.

From what I have been reading, I thought CC is going to be completed sometime in 2010 (not sure what quarter). I hear about all these groups forming trying to get their deposits back via litigation/arbitration on the basis of "late opening." I don't think there is a case, because the agreement says it is not liable for delayed opening. Anyways, I can't imagine getting financing if it opened in Q1 2009. Maybe we are lucky that it has been slow. I would rather have my money in escrow earning 0% interest than in the stock market with a -50% return over the past 12 months. It would be nice if we could renegotiate the unit selling price at closing. does anyone know if that is possible? Also, when are they going to designate a hotel operator? Thanks for you comments.
