The new tower at Golden Nugget is up to its 15 of its 25 floors. This is the first new downtown hotel tower since 1979 when Fitzgerald's tower (then the Sundance) was built.

The older South Tower which is being repainted to resemble the new one, is looking more contemporary. It's amazing how just painting the air-conditioner vents dramatically changes the look of the building.   Follow this link to view the photos.
