I received an email from a worker at Cosmopolitan who said that all work had been stopped on the Beach Tower. The workers were reportedly moved to other jobs in the larger Spa Tower. He said no reason was given for the construction halt. He was informed that the construction on the tower would resume in 4 to 6 months.

I'm guessing that no one will ever hire Perini as the head contractor.

Better hope it's not the rebar at this point.....both Cosmo towers are up to their crowns... The Harmon's problems were found early enough to crop it....but if the Beach tower was deemed structurally unsound at this point, what could they do? Set a new record for the youngest building ever imploded?

my guess is that they are trying to get the condo aspect finished first since people who purchased are getting so irritated but i don't really know if there are any condos in the beach tower or not but it looks to me is they are still working on it the crown on both buildings are almost completed
