I think the northside is blah so that it doesn't clash with the Jockey Club, which is blah itself. I am thinking (half jokingly) that their goal is to blend in with the JC so that eventually, people won't even realize it's there. Perhaps it was the Cosmo's plan to eventually phase out the JC so they will no longer have a "pimple" on their face.

I like the JC but now, between the behemoths, it just totally looks out of place!

It's my understanding that the Jockey Club is going to be re-skinned to blend in.

The Cosmopolitan is an enigma. It's the kind of mistake people with a lot of money make. You bought that rental that didn't pan out? They built the Cosmopolitan.

And the whole Jockey Club thing... that is the icing on the cake. (Remember JC2K, I wonder if he still lives there?)

I seriously wonder if they are going to have any guests when they open. And if they do, I wonder if those guests will enjoy their view of the Jockey Club. It will be just like staying at the Imperial Palace! I'm sure that's what they were going for.

Can't wait to get back to LV so I can see how out of place the JC looks. My hope was one day it will be totally incorporated into "The Den", so I can reep the bene's of the Den, while spending my week at the JC and hopefully watching the fountains. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
