The folks who purchased units in the bottom half of that 3rd Turnberry tower must be really enjoying their view (or at least cherishing the memory)..... Now they can spend the evening admiring the wall of the FB's conference center.....

I surprised that Clark County approved the project as it was built. The distance from the one Turnberry tower to the parking/convention center seems awful close. Didn't the residents get to see the project before it was approved? The complete complex seems to large for the size of the property anyway. I think the Riviera should buy it and move next door.

Who cares about the condo owners!!??
That what happens when a city grows!!
Oh and forget the Riviera. IMPLODE IT AND BUILD A HUGE PROJECT LIKE THE CITY CENTER!!!

I Feel sorry for the owners below 20 floors, does any one know what they are using this for my guess was a multi lever car park.

I agree the Riv. should buy the FB and move next door!

Actually, now that the Riviera is bankrupt the name will be available for sale. Whomever purchases FB should rename it the Riviera. The instant name recognition would be a boost for business. Riviera also meshes with the south beach vibe of the FB.
I recall there was alot of outrage when the zoning board approved that wall. It looks even worse than I had imagined. Almost as bad as the Jockey Club and Cosmo. I suppose Turnberry is to blame since they own(ed) it all.

Oh man! Is that wall ever a monstrosity! It looks (from what I counted) that you need to be on at least the 23rd floor of the Turnberry Towers to "just" see over it. I sure would be upset if I had no view and I lived 20 floors up. With the amount of condos available now in Las Vegas how are the owners of those units with no view ever going to sell them?

Am I missing something? It does not look that bad to me. In fact for that neighborhood, it is a major upgrade.

OMG, that thing is huge! (that's what she said)
F-blue is a monstrosity. I've never really like the look anyway. It has no real architectural appeal to meal. Looks like a big block of glass. No real "lines" or detail.
If I lived at Turnberry I would be so pissed. I suppose they could turn it into a positive by saying that it blocks the evening sun and cuts down on your a/c bill.

I don't think it looks as bad as it could. The owners of Turnberry have no place to be upset, because when they bought thier condos, it was in their disclosures that they must read and sign that thier views were not guaranteed. FB will be beautiful when it is finished. Turnberry (who essentially owns it) does not skimp and knows what they are doing. The Riviera is a piece of jumk and needs to be imploded. They should keep the name but build something new and better there.

Hopefully they will build a Rainforest Tropical Themed casino/condo project. That would be great. What do you want to get built?...

WELCOLM TO LIVING IN A CITY.... THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON THE LAST 150 YEARS IN CITIES ACROSS THE GLOBE.... ONE VIEW REPLACES ANOTHER AS THE BUILT-UP HAPPENS... IF THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A place at turnberry are so smart to make all that money and pay for the place. Then they should know how a city would grow.

Excellent point. If the LV Valley is not going tolerate what you said, then growth will be somewhat stagnant. Who cares about view!! Lets grow and add more opportunities in the area.
My wish to create A HUGE FINANCIAL CENTER IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA!!! YES!!! BUILDINGS FROM 40-200 STORIES!!! Vegas could really use a lot of that!!!

exactly.... this is the way of every city people will begin to build taller buildings to get above the rest.... its why in 20 years the mgm, mirage, excalibur, treasure island will all be replaced by tall ass buildings

Great points: Can you give me a prediction timeline on when certain buildings may be imploded??

FB is a joint project with Turnberry and Fontainebleau Miami, so they had to know what they were getting in to. Anyway, I'm sure there are now some bargains in the lower floors on those towers!
