New Photo of Golden Nugget

Here's a shot of the Golden Nugget from 5/31/09 by Joel Rosales (taken from the site of the Smith Center durring the groundbreaking).
They did s pretty good job of painting the ugly old tower to resemble the ugly new tower.
The swoop and new logo give it a real late 90's look. Hey, it's too early for the 90's to be retro, lol.
Clicking on the image will take you to the site where you can see a larger version.
Thoughts?

It kinda makes sense now why they decided to go with the bland look for the new tower--it DOES mesh with the older South tower. Still the reflective glass on the original old North tower (seen squeezed in between)actually looks better than the others.... That tower is now somewhat hidden from a distance by the other two....almost gives it the appearance of being another property. Once the "swoop" crown goes atop the new tower, it should help a bit.

Please explain what is meant by a "Swoop" crown.

The crown is the top of the building (above the occupied floors). a swoop is a gentle curve, (like the top of Wynn and Encore)
