New Construction Photos
Here are some new photos of the backside of CityCenter. including a closer look at the Canoe (um) Art (I really don't like it). The Harmon interchange is looking near completion and Vdara's pool deck is shaping up.
Across town, the Hoover Dam bypass bridge's arch is almost complete.

Should be interesting to see how long that canoe "art" sculpture will remain--before major wind or critics bring it down.... They could have put something cool out on that pedestal--like a vintage airliner or something.....Canoes?

In my opinion they should cross-pollinate by planting Planet Holly on the sculpture for one fantastic pose and see how it goes.

I actually like the Canoes, it's very random but so is the city center project (design wise). It's a nice burst of color amongst the clear glass, I have actually seen a lot of the art that will be displayed and the Canoe sculpture is definitely a hint of what's to come. The City Center project is very out of the ordinary in design and the art shouldn't be an exception.

I smell BASE and bungee jumping in that bridge's future... As for CityCenter, I'll reserve my judgement on the canoes until I see them up close.

I know it doesn't rain in Vegas a lot, but I'm sure that between the dust that blows around and what rain there is, some mud is bound to get stuck in there?
