Tivoli Village Under Construction Again

The $850-million Tivoli Village at Queensridge is out of the "stalled" category.  Construction is moving at a good pace on one of Vega's most expensive new projects. The 29-acre development is going to be a true mixed-use project with shopping, entertainment, office and residential all rolled into a beautiful, walkable village-like setting.

Tivoli Village uses real building materials (no EIFS here)

I created a new page for the project with lots of model and construction photos.

Enjoy.

I'd like to know what the classification of a "real" building material is?
Is it one that insulates the building, thereby reducing energy usage? Because EIFS does that.
Is it something with an unlimited range of colors and potential styles? Because EIFS has that.
Is it something that properly manages moisture within walls to ensure longevity? Because EIFS does that.
Is it something that uses the least amount of energy to mine, manufacture and transport? Because EIFS is superior in all those regards.

Tell me, Mr. Adams, what is a "real" building material?

It's real of course. And it has plenty of beneficial results in the building process. But you know what he means, it's usually used to simulate the look of something else. Semantics can be so overused and boring sometimes.

Since it was supposed to be done in 2008 I am guessing this is a non-union job. Maybe they only got one guy working on it?

I think this is a fantastic idea for the area, there isn't anything like this around here. Town square which is neat is pretty far from where this is being built, so I'm pretty excited!
