Encore Beach Club is Open
Hi Folks,
Well after a bout with a family illness and a short vacation, I'm back in the saddle and ready to do lots of updates.
Firstly, the Encore Beach Club opened last weekend but I waited till yesterday to go down and take photos. The Memorial Day crowds keep us locals away from the Strip. The club is beautiful (as expected) and I took lots of photos inside and out. The rumored moving of the Baccarat room to the Eastside Lounge was false. The reason the Eastside Lounge was draped off was to add six blackjack tables. The lounge is now reopened.
Let's hear your comments.

Hey Mark, glad to see you back. Thanks for the beautiful photos of the Beach Club at Encore. It is very elegant. Steve Wynn (and his team) have a great eye for design and detail. Wynn's current, and previous resorts, are in one word, classy. No ridiculous themes were needed. I am looking forward to your other updates.

Hi Mark, glad you're back and hopefully the family illness you mentioned turned out okay. Looking forward to reading the updates - I check the site every day and have referred many other people to it and especially the maps. Next trip to Vegas coming in less than a month, so I'm anxious to see what's new and improved.

Great pics! I'm kind of growing tired of the 'clubs' and VIP lounges in Vegas. I'm actually quite surprised that Wynn jumped into another night/day club. It's going to attract a more 'wild' customer that might get in the way of the hotel guests. I also hear that XS is so lound..you can hear the music in the rooms as high as the 30th floor. If this new club is also so loud...how can Encore maintain it's 5 star rating?

Hi Mark, I have been checking your site for several years now. Great info!
The wife and I have been staying at the Polo Towers the last week in July since 2000. Although, we miss last year.
Is the beech club open to the public?

Hi Howie,
It's open to the public but you need to pay the price. Last told it was $50 for a female and $100 for us guys.

WHAT!? holy crap. $50 for women is absurd

Encore Beach club looks great but I am interested in something more subdued. Can you tell me if there is another pool at Encore or is the beach club the only pool option now?

I, too, am tired of the current craze to create daytime nightclubs. But, I guess the creators have realized that dumb people who can stand around all night drinking and waiting in long lines can do the same during the day. Now, having been to Wynn and Encore during Memorial Day weekend, I can tell you that the casino was CLOGGED with Beach Club wanna-be's, waiting for their turn to "party". Frankly, these people get in the way, and probably drive some Encore customers away. I know that I walked over to the unclogged Wynn and got away from the noise and mess. That being said, I still think Steve Wynn and company are the only ones in town who seem to have a clue these days. MGM really goofed on the "MonstroCityCenter". Too big, too congested, and too blah. Dumb idea from the start.

The idea that people go to Vegas primarily to gamble is old idea. Wynn said this best himself. The xs nightclub and pool area are where I spend 90% of my waking hours while at the Wynn, and I absolutely love it. That being said, I think the Beach Club was not a good idea. Its way too crowded in there and the pool is too small. Music's too loud. I think they should rip out that silly golf course, build a third tower, maybe call it Trifecta and expand on the wildly successful xs pool experience. Meaning take the xs pool and nightclub concept and make it bigger, not smaller.

Yes, the lounge looks much better now.

Yes gambling is second compared to entertainment and nightlife it seems these days. Pool parties in Vegas are an up and rising thing to partake in during the summer. Many of my friends simply go to Vegas just for drinking, clubbing, and pool parties.
