I don't do reviews...but...
I don't plan to start reviewing hotels and restaurants and such, there's plenty of that on the web already. So, be assured, this is not the start of a new trend.
That said...
I L O V E sushi, and while soloing at the Red Rock resort last Thursday, I decided to have a little snack at Hachi (their trendy Japanese restaurant). I just wanted to go in, sit at the sushi bar, order a Rainbow Roll, have a few sips of tea and get back to the casino. At my local sushi bar that order would total $7.00.
It was about 4:00 p. m. the place was dead, more employees than patrons. I approached the hostess and told her I wanted to sit at the sushi bar for a quick snack. She smiled and said uuummm, while looking at the empty bar. She turned around and asked for my full name, I reluctantly replied, "Adrien Brody", she didn't flinch, but she did ask me to spell it. Then she asked for my phone number. I said "look, I'm not applying for a loan and I don't want a date, can I just get to the bar for my snack". With a little attitude, she led me to the bar and handed me a menu. (i saw her later chatting with fellow employees, who turned to look at me as she talked).

There were three sushi chefs, all busy doing prep work, I sat there for over ten minutes and not one of them even so much as glanced my way. Finally I spoke up and said (to the closest one) "I'd like to order now". He said "you make order with waitress". I said "I can't place my order with you, like every other sushi bar that I know, I just want one Rainbow Roll". "No," he said, "we're too busy to talk to customers".
I waited another six or seven minutes and a waitress approached me asking what I wanted to drink, I said "just tea" and a Rainbow Roll. She obliged.
The tea soon came and it was much too strong to enjoy. By then I was tired of complaining and dealt with it. Another 10 minutes and my coveted Rainbow Roll was presented by the sushi chef (I was surprised she didn't have to relay it to me).

Well the portions of fish were small, the seaweed inside the roll was very tough, the crab was virtually non-existent. Ya, I'd say it was a WalMart-quality Rainbow Roll. I wolfed it down, and asked the passing waitress for the check. Five fracking minutes later the check arrived. $20.72 wh-wh-what. I looked closer, $3.00 for the (usually complimentary) tea - a tiny cup of undrinkable tea..yikes. I said nothing, paid the bill, and escaped.
The room was beautiful, grand and tastefully decorated, but the lipstick on a pig story certainly applies here.

Woa...a restaurant that requires a resume to enter.... Hope they read your (I mean Adrien Brody's) review.....

I would always read the menu before ordering. All restaurants post a menu with prices. If this restaurant did not, then you should have left. Why was $20.72 a surprise to you? I would have questioned the bill as the very least.

It is not uncommon to have a menu with no prices. Even more common in Vegas and other tourist hot spots.

The menu had prices. I was not overcharged. But, charging for green tea and way too much for inferior food is inexcusable.

I enjoy your site and would agree that Red Rock restaurants are below average. I do have to disagree with the way you reviewed the restaurant though. Its implied that this restaurant is too expensive because your local joint is cheaper and that they shouldn't charge for tea because you don't feel you should pay for it.

Not exactly, I fully expected to pay more for the sushi, I also expected the sushi to be of a higher quality than my local dive.
I did not expect to be charged for green tea, however.
